Become the Section GG Team Leader
Section GG is a complex, interdisciplinary assessment of the resident’s usual functioning during a specific 3-day period. To code section GG accurately on the Minimum Data Set (MDS), the nurse assessment coordinator (NAC) must have a thorough understanding of the instructions in the RAI User’s Manual. Facility teams need a leader who drives and coordinates the GG process from start to finish.
The GG Driver’s Manual is a 61-page guide designed to support the role of the section GG leader in the facility. This downloadable PDF navigates through management of the GG process, including strategies for successful section GG documentation, audits for section GG MDS coding, a functional systems audit, and a template for determining usual performance.
Use the GG Driver’s Manual to:
- Understand the purpose of section GG
- Develop strategies for successful section GG documentation
- Audit section GG Quality Measures (QMs) and clinical systems
- Determine usual performance
