In this two-hour on-demand PDPM workshop, you will explore the methodology of the five case-mix adjusted components of the payment model, as well as the PPS assessment schedule and the variable per diem adjustment schedule. You’ll learn how to determine the case-mix group for each component based on resident conditions and characteristics and how to determine if a resident meets the criteria for presumption of coverage. If you are new to PDPM, you will quickly build a strong foundation of knowledge with this course.

In this one-hour on-demand PDPM workshop, you will dive deep into interrupted stays. You will start by learning the reasons the Interrupted Stay Policy was introduced and how this policy impacts the PPS and OBRA assessment schedules, variable per diem adjustment schedule, and the UB-04 Medicare claim. Working through several examples, you will learn how to apply the Interrupted Stay Policy in many different situations, as well has how to determine what assessments are required for each situation. You will grow in your confidence of how to use this policy as we debunk the myths and reveal the facts of the Interrupted Stay Policy.

In this one-hour on-demand PDPM workshop, you will delve into how small clinical changes can have a substantial impact on the daily rate when captured on the interim payment assessment (IPA). Using your knowledge of the PDPM methodology, you will explore examples of each case-mix adjusted component and determine the effect of the changes. You will obtain the skills to discover when an IPA may be warranted and confidently schedule the IPA to ensure the accuracy of your facility’s Medicare reimbursement.
