Section G Essentials for the Optional State Assessment

States requiring the Optional State Assessment (OSA) beginning Oct. 1, 2023, will continue to code bed mobility, transfer, eating, and toileting activities of daily living (ADLs). During the Section G Essentials on-demand workshop, AAPACN Curriculum Development Specialist and Master Teacher, Jennifer LaBay, will provide line-by-line training for these section G late-loss ADLs to accurately code the MDS using the coding instructions and the Rule of Three.

Following this workshop, you’ll be able to:

  • Understand requirements to accurately code late-loss ADLs in section G on the Optional State Assessment
