The Medicare Advantage (MA) Final Rule for Contract Year (CY) 2024 helped to achieve significant progress to address and correct widespread managed care denials for coverage and payment. New requirements for managed care organizations (MCOs) are fully effective Jan. 1, 2024.
This is new territory for providers and MCOs alike. Providers should feel empowered to hold MCOs accountable to this new set of rules.
