Advocacy Update: AAPACN responds to proposed rule on the FY23 SNF PPS and mandatory minimum staffing level

As a member of AAPACN, your concerns, opinions, and voice are represented by the association at a national level by AAPACN’s participation in nursing and healthcare coalitions, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) technical expert panels (TEPs), and responses to CMS regarding guidelines and regulatory issues.

This week, AAPACN provided comments to CMS on the proposed rule on the Fiscal Year 2023 Skilled Nursing Facility Prospective Payment System (SNF PPS) and updates to the Quality Reporting (QRP) and Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Programs and submitted comments in response to CMS’s request for information on aspects of staffing in long-term care (LTC) facilities to establish a mandatory minimum staffing level.
